Reusing keyframe animation or motion capture data
between different characters is now possible.
Reusing animation is not a direct process. Even when two models have the same rig structure, the animation of one will not trivially apply to the other, requiring further customization.
Our technology can transfer animations between models with dramatically different proportions. It will apply the source model animations to any target model that shares the same rig structure (type of joints, shapes/morphs, influence objects, animation controls).

Once we have received your data, we check that the source and target models have identical rigs, allowing direct mapping of the animation.

After receiving and checking your data, we use our in-house technology to rapidly transfer your animations from the source model to all your target models.
Our technology adjusts the transformation values of the source animation curves to the target, so animations will keep the same proportions as in the source model, but adjusted to the target model volume.
The end result is your target model animated with production level quality.
We send you back all the target models with the new animations, ready to be integrated in your animation pipeline.
Obtaining convincing behavior is highly dependent on the rig that is used. It is important to notice that the rig and animation transfer technology is indeed independent of the quality of the rig. So, if the rig quality is low, the transfer is still successful but the results on the target will be of comparable quality.
